The DFVA Spring Art Show
marks its 13th
year, with this being
our first year at the
beautiful and historic
Goodstay Center. An
impressive group of over
50 outstanding artists
from the Brandywine area
will exhibit and sell
original new works of
art created for this
event. This is an
exceptional collection
of original art,
including paintings,
sculpture, porcelain,
ceramics, jewelry and
limited edition
reproductions.
This year’s “Honored
Artist” Sarah Yeoman, is
an admired local artist
and member of the DFVA.
Sarah works in loose,
splashy manner in
watercolors and has won
numerous awards for her
artwork. She is known
for her skilled handling
of light, shadow and
atmosphere in her
landscape paintings as
well as her studio still
life work.
This year’s show will
present an opportunity
to win original
miniature works of art
painted by some of our
participating artists.
A portion of the
proceeds benefit DFVA’s
Scholarship Awards,
Excellence in Drawing
Competition, and
“Kaleidoscope” the
annual workshop for
Delaware High School
Students.
